Drink+Drive= DIE!! Simple math right?

As many people know the jackass movie star, Ryan Dunn died in a car accident. Now, the toxicology report has not yet come back, so It's possible he was not actually drunk. Though he posted a photo of himself drinking just hours before his death on twitter. I fully believe he was drunk (likely well over the legal limit), if he was not, I will eat my words.
So many people are saying such thing as "it's sad" "he made a mistake" "Poor guy" etc...etc... all over FB. This annoys the shit out of me....really it does. If I were to post something in relation to his death it would be to the effect of "I hope my family and friends are smart enough to not drink and drive...." or "Glad he only killed himself and his drunk passenger and not an innocent family" <<ok that last one was a bit harsh. I am annoyed with the media for not taking the chance to re-educate the public on the seriousness of drinking and driving, possibly sighting resources  (calling a cab, a friend(not a drunk one) shoot anything)  He did NOT make a mistake....drinking and driving is a conscious decision...have a freaking plan BEFORE you go out drinking, have you never heard the term DD?? it stands for DESIGNATED DRIVER, this is a person who comes along with you while you drink or is on speed dial in your phone....they are there to drive you home, they are sober.... I am SURE that Ryan Dunn probably had a few (or more than a few) fans who quite literally would have paid him for a ride home....For those of you without a fan base there are cabs, for those without cabs, you have feet.....really, here are no excuses for DUI.
Yes, it is always sad to lose a loved one, But sorry to announce to my family and friends, if you kill yourself while drunk driving, I will be sad, but you will still be the idiot who drank and drove....I will not sympathize with you.

Leaving an infant alone in a car

This story is one that angers me on so many levels....Every year springtime rolls around and the news there are stories of infants and young children who die of hyperthermia from being left in a car. They cook to death!! With your child securely strapped in they cannot rescue themselves. Cannot get out of the car so they are trapped to die a torturous death because you "forgot" or were too lazy to take them out to put them back in. 3 things about this really get me mad.

#1 There is NO excuse NONE for leaving an infant/young child alone in a car not even for a minute. We all know that 1 minute can easily become 5-10+ You can become distracted by a phone call or numerous other things.

#2 What a horrific way to die!! Have you ever just say in a car even on a cool day while the sun is beating down? it gets hot FAST and with no circulation you begin to feel like you are suffocating not to mention you are sweating and dehydrating.

#3 Often the excuse you read is "I thought mom had them" or "I didn't know I had my baby today" or even "they were sleeping and I didn't want to wake them so I went inside and accidentally forgot" The biggest flaw in this is how much longer does it take to CHECK THE CAR SEAT? I mean really!! I used to work full time, we had a car seat in my car and one in my husbands, EVERY DAY before I would walk into work I made it a habit to look at the car seat....I knew I had not taken her with me just in case for some unknown reason my husband had snuck out and thrown her in the car I could rest assured knowing she was not cooking in the car seat with no way to move.

Going out while Sick

This has always been a point of frustration with me.
If you are sick, STAY HOME, If your child is sick KEEP THEM HOME.
Seriously people, Is it too much to ask to not take your coughing, sneezy, slobbery, snotty nosed self out in public?? Now FTR I'm not speaking of trips to the doctors office, trips to the pharmacy or emergency shopping trips for medications, pedialyte or an easy to eat while sick meal. I am speaking of those people who take their coughing, sneezing, green nastiness, obviously sick all over the place self and/or child to library time, to a playground or to a store for a non-necesity trip. You do not NEED to go to the thrift store when you are sick!!  Nor do you need a hair cut, manicure or tan. Your child will not be missed at the library their birthday party can be put off and you do not need to attend your friends-cousins-uncles birthday party, I can assure they do not want your germs as a gift and they may just thank you for calling and canceling!!
When I see a sick person in public (at St Vinnies, at Goodwill, at the Spa, etc...) I can't help but think they must really not care about the health of others (namely young children, the elderly and those with compromised immune systems.)
We are a very healthy family (have only been sick 4x in the past 12 months which is excellent considering on average children get 6-10 colds/flu's per year) you put ANYONE in a closed room (ie library time) with an obviously sick child and one of the 5 of us that goes is likely to get sick.... and if one of my 2 daughters gets it then the other will because they share a room.
I am especially passionate about this now because my 2 yr old has "respiratory distress syndrome" which basically means that when she gets sick she gets asthma like symptoms which could land her in the hospital.

Anyhow--Rant Over PLEASE KEEP YOUR SICKIES AT HOME.
